- To inspire girls to develop an interest in technology and to expose them to STEAM topics;
- To provide and improve access to technology to demographics who face various barriers to access often based on socioeconomic factors;
- To make technology accessible to Seniors and decreasing social isolation and especially during this pandemic; It is even more crucial during these times that Seniors are provided with safe alternate ways that allow continued connection to family and friends.
Digital Foundations would like to ensure an ethical and responsible approach to the introduction of technology, emphasizing aspects such as screen time, moderating discussions and debates that are centered around current technology concerns such as Privacy, the positive and negative impacts of AI for example; engaging both parents and students so that the inevitable journey of discovery within the digital world is one that is carefully and responsibly curated.
